Roosfoos is my one-man pewter shop in Springfield, Oregon.

I've been casting pewter for over 25 years, and I still make every piece from start to finish. The originals begin on my little CNC or at the bench, carved in aluminum, clay, or wood depending on what the design needs. From there I make the molds, pour lead-free pewter, and finish each piece by hand. It's a small operation, which means every piece gets my full attention.

I make things people actually use: measuring spoons that live in the utensil drawer for twenty years, hooks by the back door, an ornament that comes out every December and reminds you of someone. I like knowing a piece I made is part of somebody's ordinary routine.

Pewter works well for this. It gets better looking as it ages. Nothing here is meant to be thrown away.
